Despite the extent of desert areas and low annual rainfall, and the reduction of water reserves, ceramic industry is one of the largest water consuming industries so that about 15 liters of water is needed to produce 1 m2 of ceramic and tile. Depending on the weight of tile, about 13 liters is evaporated through spraying. According to the capacity of ceramic and tile production in Iran and given a production capacity of about 300 million square meters in Yazd Province, the annual volume of about 3900000 m3 of water, which is equal to the consumption of a city of 200 thousand people, is evaporated. The water consumed is never recycled. Considering this point, the population will increase by 1.5 times.
