Ball mill is one of the most commonly used mills in the industry for powdering materials. The rotational motion of the cylinder and friction between the balls and materials leads to a powder product. The permissible rotational speed is dependent on the diameter of balls and is completely independent of the mass and size of balls. The speed usually varies in the range of 60-80% of the critical speed of the mill. When the rotational speed approaches the critical speed, the capacity increases but percentage of the output fine material decreases. If the rotational speed exceeds the permissible range, the components will rotate rigidly with the cylinder and the efficiency approaches zero.
Ball mills are made in different models including continuous and batch ball mills with dry and wet operation, with steel, rubber, silex, and ceramic alumina liners and stone, steel, and alumina balls for various uses. You can click on the following link to see other Momtaz Sangshekan Co. products.
